Saurav Ghosal is an Indian professional squash player. In April 2019, he attained the 10th world ranking in squash. In 2022, he competed in the Commonwealth Games organised in Birmingham and created history by winning Indias first ever singles bronze medal in Commonwealth Games. In childhood, he joined the Kolkata Racquet Club and began practising squash in his hometown.Soon after completing his school education, Saurav Ghosal shifted to Chennai from Kolkata and joined the ICL squash academy in Chennai where he began receiving squash training under Major (Rtd) Maniam and Cyrus Poncha. Later, Saurav Ghosal joined the Pontefract Squash Club in West Yorkshire and started training under the guidance of Malcolm Willstrop.
