Santosh Sant is a professional flutist based out of the financial capital of India, Mumbai. He is a follower of the maestro, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia. Santosh was born to a musical family of Gwalior and his late father, Shri Vasantrao Sant, was a well-known vocalist from the ancient Gwalior Gharana. He is a regular performer in many prestigious music festivals in India and abroad and also performed for the Indian radio and television network Santosh has been rewarded with the gold medal by the Department of Culture, Govt. of India, and the Directorate General of All India Radio, for his best performance in 1990. He is also honoured with the titles like ‘Abhinav Kala Samman’, ‘Surmani’ and ‘Venu-Shree’.
