Sampagodu S Vighnaraja is a professional singer based out of the IT capital of India, Bangalore. He is best known for his talents in the field of Carnatic classical music. His brilliant and consistent performances have marked him as one of the upcoming Carnatic musicians worldwide. He is also an ace flautist. He takes the old techniques and gives it a modern spin during LIVE performances. Sampagodu’s concerts are known for his intricate and intense alapanas that are capable of taking the audiences to a world of recreation and imagination. He renders melodious kirtanas with sophisticated skills and rhythmic patterns. Sampagoda hails from Sringeri, Karnataka and learnt music from his father, Sri DS Suryanarayana Bhat. From the age of three, he was able to sing Kalpana Swaras. Vighnaraja is gifted with a beautiful voice, which can effortlessly produce brilliant akaaraas, gamakas, and bhirkas. He is also known for his speed variations with perfect clarity of diction. He has given a number of concerts in both vocal and flute in many parts of India, and in countries like Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Taiwan, USA, and New Zealand. He has accompanied artists of high repute like Sri Mannargudi Eshwaran, Sri KV Prasad, Sri Trichy Harikumar, Sri Mysore V. Srikanth, Sri Arjun Kumar, Sri S. Vighnaraja is a self-taught flautist and a slide guitarist.
