Samir and Dipalee is a professional singing duo based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. They are one of the most sought-after performing couple, with over 300 international shows to their credit in the past three years. They have performed at various theme based shows like new and old Bollywood theme, dance, Bhangra, Sufi, Qawalli, garba, ghazals, and devotional. Their month long tour in summer of 2016 will cover West Indies, USA, Canada, Holland, and United Kingdom. It is uncommon to find people who pursue two professions successfully such that they can justify their vocations. One such person is architect and singer, Samir Date. Samir Date has sung in Hindi films like Jazbaat, Fauj, and Parampara, and has anchored Balaji’s TV show, Dhun Dhamaka. Samir was honoured with the Pillar of Indian Society award. His forte is his versatile command and showmanship, which makes audiences love his presence wherever he performs. Samir got his first break singing for the Hindi film ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’. What followed was a series of Bollywood playback offers for films like Parampara, in which he sang for Aamir Khan under the baton of music director, Shiv-Hari, and director, Yash Chopra. He followed this up by singing two duets with Asha Bhosle for the film, Jazbaat. He has also sung playback for various Marathi and other regional films. Samir has performed at countless LIVE shows in India and abroad. He is a prolific stage performer and has recently returned from a 12-concert tour of UAE and West Indies. Dipalee Somaiya is a playback singer and Saregama TV star. She has sung in over 200 Hindi and Gujarati films. The government of Gujarat has awarded her the ‘Best Playback Singer’ award four times in a row, out of which she received the award twice by PM Narendra Modi. She also won the Yuva Pratibha and Kutch Ratna award.
