Sajid has an acute sense of observation coupled with musical sensitivity – made way for new inspiration. He stepped out to form a simplistic yet evocative way to play his music. A careful blend of synthetic textures and electronic sound creates a counter energy in Sajid's music which essentially has its roots in more of the acoustic folk sound. The term, Folktronic, would be a better way to describe the mix. The nature of the music which they create is also quite lyrical. Sajid Akbar & the Lost Boys pay great attention to the words being sung and what message each song is sending out. Their debut album, “Kid Without Candy” was released not just in India but also in South East Asia and across Europe by various distributors, namely, Rock Street Journal Magazine, the Enigmatic Army and iTunes, respectively.
