My Compelling Story

Sahaj Singh is a professional dancer based out of the capital of India, New Delhi. After eight years of extensive practice and passionate training, Sahaj started teaching and choreographing at the age of 15. Currently, he runs his own dance school called Urban Dance Center (UDC) and teaches urban forms of house, Bollywood, and hip hop. Sahaj conducted international workshops for Students from The Holton School, Washington for two consecutive years. He has trained under and assisted Tara Jean and Vincent Desjardins (So You Think You Can Dance), Nikita and Natasha (Harbour Dance Studio, Canada), Bryan East (New Jersey), and Harman Benjamin (Edmonton, White chocolate dance company) Achievements: Choreographed PTC MUSIC awards, 2014, Telecasted live all over India, Canada, US, China, and New Zealand Choreographed and performed at the launch of TATA Motors Prima in Nairobi Africa, 2015 Choreographed an Indo–German cross-cultural project called Lebe Jetz– Kal Ho Na Ho, has crossed over one million views on YouTube Judged the Corporate Talent Championship, Delhi, 2015 Choreographed and represented India at Russia’s Spring Youth Festival, 2014 Choreographed and performed at Voice of Punjab Grand Finale, 2015 Choreographed PTC FILM Awards, 2014, Telecasted live all over India, Canada, US, China, and New Zealand Choreographed and performed at Kingfisher Calendar Model Hunt, 2014 Finalist of the reality show Dilse Naache Indiwale, Zee TV, judged by the cast and crew of the movie Happy New Year Choreographed Food Freak Awards, 2014  Choreographed the reality show LDM3, Telecasted live all over India, Canada, and USA on PTC Punjabi Channel Choreographed the Gates and Custodian Person of the Year Awards, 2013 Choreographed a flash mob at the Reebok towers to launch Reebok Classics range Choreographed an event for Mini Cooper and BMW, 2014 Choreographed the dance teams of various colleges likeJesus and Mary College 2013-14 (1st at 17 competition in the respective season), Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (2nd at IIT Kanpur 2012), IILM College, Hansraj College Choreographed for annual functions for Scottish High International School, Bal Bharti Public School, Neerja Modi School (Jaipur), Sangam School of Excellence (Bhilwada), Sports Drill for Manavasthali School, and various other fests and competitions Member of the contingent at the Bollywood extravaganza in South Africa, 2010  Performed at the IIFA awards, Macau, 2009 Performed at the Commonwealth Games, Delhi, 2009 Member of North Team in the reality show Dance Premier League, Sony Television, 2009 Choreographed for an episode of Band Baaja Bride, NDTV Imagine.
