Biography

Sagar Gupta Collective is a LIVE band based out of Pune, Maharashtra. Sagar Gupta, who initiated the band, started his musical journey at the young age of 10. He has performed at various concerts and been awarded numerous trophies for his incredible achievements in music. Sagar completed his Bachelor's degree in Media and Sound Engineering from Pune. After that, he went on to work as a freelancer, recording and playing LIVE shows. He started his journey by singing at a Mata Ka Jaagran (a Hindu ritual) and has also sung in temples, gurdwaras (Sikh worship place), and churches. He has a very creative mind that he uses to compose and write songs. His singles – 'Kashmir' and 'Pehli Dafa' have been released this year. He has even sung in an upcoming Marathi feature film 'Return Journey,' releasing in 2016. Sagar heads the band 'Sagar Gupta Collectives', formerly known as 'Agham – Beyond Imagination'. It was founded as a side project, but after the first show, Sagar saw the potential for a greater level of music. Hence, began the journey for him and the other band members. Sagar Gupta Collectives focuses its style of music primarily on fusion/Sufi rock but also experiments on various genres ranging from hard rock to jazz. Sagar Gupta Collectives performs both acoustic and rock band shows (in private parties and non-private parties), and karaoke shows as well. The band is different from the rest of its peers as its members hail from various parts of India, which helps them give their music a different direction.
