Rupinder Handa is a professional singer based out of the capital city of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh. Born to Charanjeet Kaur and Kartar Singh Handa, this modern-day singer calls Sirsa her home. After completing her schooling and college studies from Sirsa, Rupinder chose music as her ultimate field and emerged as one of India’s promising singers, with a peculiar voice that transcends the definitions of pitch, range, and notes. Handa is a disciple of Prof Bakshi Ram who has honed her soulful voice with hours of practice. She is an MA (music) from Punjab University, Chandigarh and also did M Phil from Punjab University Patiala. Rupinder started singing when she was in third grade. Building on her strengths, she eventually ventured into music and took it as a profession in the year 2006 and won the prestigious title 'Awaaz Punjab Di', on the MH1 TV channel. This was followed by her first album release – Mere Haniyan (T-Series) –in the year 2006, and her second one – Fulkariyan (Audio Touch) – in 2009. This two albums made Rupinder a renowned and appreciated personality in Punjabi music industry. Her songs, as a result, were prominently featured in some famous compilations and albums such as Pure Energy (Speed Records), Fun (Amar Audio), Peche Pe Gye (T-Series), Mohobttan 2010, Jago, Live Wire (Movie Box), Bhangra Junction (Vanjhali Records), Romance, Do Dilan De Mamle (SMI), and The Hitman Returns to name a few. Handa also sang a song in the film 'Khushiyan', and her recent endeavors have led to her third album release – Loving Waves (T-Series).
