Rupak Pawar is a professional tabla player based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. He is the son and disciple of the famous tabla maestro, Pt Sadashiv Pawar who is further a disciple of the legend, Late Khalifa Ustad Amir Hussain Khan. Rupak has had the privilege of playing with many distinguished artists from the industry like Pt Jasraj, Ustad Abdul Halim Jaffer Khan, Pt Hariprasad Chaurasiya, Ustad Usman Khan, Pt Kartik Kumar, Niladri Kumar, Pt V G Jog, Pt Harshankar Bhattacharya, Dr N Rajam, Pt Rakesh Chaurasiya, and Pt Buddhaditya Mukherji to name few. He has also played with international artists like cello player, Ms Roveena Calvert, for a fusion instrumental. He was also selected by the ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Research) for the World World Music Festival in 1996. He has also toured Europe with Pt Maruti Patil. With his dedicated role in the field of tabla-playing, Rupak is also a graduate in Engineering (Digital Electronics).
