Initially from France, Rudy Roots has put in the most recent 10 years playing reggae music in bars, clubs and celebrations. 'Roots Warriors' is a group of similarly invested emcees and DJs that developed amid these early days. In those days, Rudy worked inside of the customary style of reggae and played unique vinyl recordings. In 2007, craving for something new set in and Rudy settled on the choice to leave France for Asia. Rudy Roots has played in Goa alongside veteran Emcee Brother Culture (UK), Reloveution Sound (IT), Shire Roots (UK) and MC Gringo (FR), one of the original Roots Warriors. Spreading the message of reggae is important to Rudy. He feels that not only is the music the message, but also its unique vibration, Rasta philosophy and every listener’s own interpretation.
