Root Murphy is a LIVE band based out of the capital city of India, New Delhi.
A journey that started out as an artist; with the passion for music, an attitude requiring courage, grit and a sense of life. It began with multi-artist endeavours as Amlan Nayar kept writing and composing. With a track-record of national competitions, grand stage-shows and festivals, the idea behind Root Murphy developed.
Root Murphy believes in creating expressions with music. Projects in production include soundscape and sound design, scores, background scores, jingles and stock. The band also comes with a collection of original tracks. The idea is to do as much as possible, for music, with music.
The band produced the cinematic and supporting score and created the soundscape and sound design for the movie, Nocebo, a German short film made in Prague. The film won an award for Best Sound at the International Film Festival held in Lucknow.
