Rishabh Seen is a professional sitar player based out of the capital city of India, New Delhi. His sitar cover for the song – Animals As Leaders – was very well received globally by the Indian classical and metal community. Motivated by the sole purpose of bridging Indian classical and metal music, he showcases the versatility of the sitar in the Indian music scene. He has started to work on his debut album with his band, which will be released in 2016, and will be a historic release for the sitar, Indian music, and metal music. Rishabh belongs from the Etawah gharana of sitar playing, and is learning from his father who is his guru (mentor) – Pandit Manu Seen. He has been performing since he was 10 years old. Since then, he has performed intensively with many Indian classical musicians and has toured throughout the nation and abroad in such a
young age. His playing includes a skillful blend of 'gayaki ang' and the 'tantrikari ang', which are instrumental in putting forth the soul of the raga being played. His playing has been noted and very well appreciated by legendary Indian classical musicians like Pandit Birju Maharaj, Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan, Niladri Kumar, Talvin Singh, and Mehmood Dhaulpuri to name a few.
