Rimi Nique is a singer based out of the financial capital of India and the capital city of Maharashtra, Mumbai. She has the qualities of both Western and Indian vocal style. Rimi sings from a wide range of genres – from Bollywood to fusion, from EDM to RnB to pop music. She sings in Hindi, English, Punjabi, Thai, Spanish and Mandarin languages. She got the title of 'Super Talented Multilingual Singer' by STAR Plus and of the 'Next Gen Performer' by The Times of India. Rimi has also begun creating covers of hit songs as a tribute. She is known for her performance in the show ‘Voice Thailand Season 2’. Since the age of six, Rimi has been singing shabads and Indian songs. She is a certified vocalist in semi-classical raag training and kirtan singing. Rimi got featured in the Thai-Indian magazine, ‘Masala’ (June edition), with a four-page front cover story, and in other magazines like Bangkok Post, Pattaya Mail, and The Nation. She has won several competitions like Indaba Music Production Competition in the US, for her song, ‘Cold Outside’. She also performed in Pattaya, at Hard Rock Cafe and Silverlake Songkran Music Festival. She also did a show at the 27th Phuket King’s Cup Regetta with Paul Ewing. Recently, she recorded a cover song with Thai-popstar, Mike D. Angelo, which got released on Valentine’s Day. She also did voice-over recordings for Samsung Galaxy S4 and Mitsubishi commercials in Thailand, voiceover for iPhone/Android car game app, for an environmental education video by The Ministry of Science, and many more. Prior to her year in Asia, Rimi formed a band with her college friend Adriel, called ‘Dabbles In Bloom’, along with two other members. The band played at several concerts and shows around Washington State and also toured in the Northwest after the release of their album, ‘Found It’.
