Formed in August 2005, Rectified Spirit started performing in gigs of the metal circuit of their hometown. After a few years of being in the circuit – from 2009 onwards – some of the band members left the band due to various individual engagements. Thereafter, the guitarist and founder member, Samudragupta Dutta, and long-term bassist Himangshu Borah revised the band again in the year 2011 with guitarist Imtiyaz Alam. With the drummer Nishant Hagjer and the newly-associated vocalist Rainjong Lepcha, the band started performing again in their hometown. But, due to exit of Imtiyaz Alam, the band recruited a new guitarist, Dishankan Baruah. The band takes influences from different sub-genres of heavy metal. Members: Rainjong Lepcha for Vocals Samudragupta Dutta for Guitar Dishankan Baruah for Guitar Himangshu Borah for Bass Nishant Hagjer for Drums
