Raxstar is a professional rapper based out of the capital of Haryana and Punjab, Chandigarh. The British rapper from Luton Town first came to prominence in 2005 with his producing partner, Sunit. Their breakout single, Keep It Undercover, documented young love and the inner conflict when choosing between following your heart and going against parental expectations or conforming. This unique perspective allowed Raxstar to create songs like Jaaneman, drawing from the influences of Bollywood and the smooth RnB records he grew up with. Described as The Ultimate Rap Ballad, it proved to be hugely popular worldwide specifically in India and Pakistan, and the subsequent music video went viral accumulating over two million views on YouTube. The mixtapes are Lost Ones (2008), Spring Cleaning (2010), About A Girl (2011), and Late On Time (2012). These records continued to showcase his work ethic, versatile subject matter, and lyrical prowess. Raxstar has also collaborated with more than 100 artists, and this list continues to grow. Songs such as Flirt (feat DJ Surinder Rattan), Cold World, The Other Man, and Ego have led Raxstar to tour all over the UK as well as globally. More power collaborations are heard in the release of 2014’s Glass Ceiling album.
