Ravi Iyer began his musical journey by learning the tabla during his childhood and later took up the guitar. Since then, there’s been no looking back since then. Been over three decades that he has mentored innumerable students, many of who, today are well-known names in the music industry themselves, has given countless number of LIVE performances with his earlier rock bands, currently tours with his world fusion project across India and internationally, has released four albums in the rock/fusion genres, sessions as guitar player for LIVE concerts/studio sessions and scores music for commercial projects. He has performed with some of the biggest names in the fusion music genre like Pandit Ravi Chary, Dr L Subramaniam, Padmabushan Shri Vikku Vinayakram, Shri Sivamani, and Ustad Fazal Qureshi. His latest album titled ‘Raga Punch’ will be released in the near future. Ravi received the Best Song Award globally for his composition called 786 (an art attack) at The Akademia Music Awards, California, USA.
