A younger, more impressionable Ravana would have been swept up in the first flush of Delhi underground rave culture towards the late 90s. The experience served to change him from a metalhead to a psyhead overnight. Within two years, that scene was infested with cops and sleaze, and he found himself amongst disillusioned peers. One of the earliest proponents of putting on drum and bass nights in Delhi - his 'dbass' nights were on as early as 2001 - Ravana would carve out his own niche, until leaving Delhi to disappear for a number of years. Upon his return, he was gifted a modest desktop computer by a forward thinking individual. He has been relentlessly churning out music under the guise of a bewildering number of aliases since. His work ranges from field recordings, experimental turntablism, and TV dialogue, all tethered together by a mix of drum breaks, looped found sound, and melody. He rarely leaves West Delhi.
