A remarkable flautist and vocalist proficient in Carnatic music, Rasika's captivating voice and flute playing expertise is no less than a timeless repose??. Her measured cadences of street-driven Jazz and blues wrapped up in playful Sufi style?, along with flavours of Hindustani and Carnatic music with specks of ghazal shows sagacity in her artistry.? Rasika's journey of the mellifluous world began when she accompanied the Ghazal legend Ustad Ghulam Ali Khan as a vocalist for his US tour. This was followed by an offer from the national-award-winning composers Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy giving her an opportunity to sing as a playback singer in the award-winning film, "Dekh Indian Circus." She has also given her voice in ‘Hulla Re’ from Karan Johar’s movie 2 STATES, ‘Daiyya Maiyya’ from YashRaj Film’s KILL DIL and 'Sau Aansoon Roye' from the film KATTI BATTI. As a solo performer, Rasika has attended numerous concerts all around the globe. A watershed in her life was when she performed on MTV's Coke Studio season 2 as a featured flautist on Ehsaan & Loy's production single 'Man Patang.' With a phenomenal response, she caused a stir in the industry and dazzled her fans all around the world.
