Praggananandhaa is an Indian chess player. He is best known for being the fifth one who won the title Grandmaster (GM) after the renowned chess players Abhimanyu Mishra, Sergey Karjakin, Gukesh D, and Javokhir Sindarov in February 2022.In 2013, Praggnanandhaa won the World Youth Chess Championships Under-8 title. At the age of seven, he earned the title of FIDE Master. In 2015, he won the Under-10 title.At the age of 10 years, 10 months, and 19 days, Praggananandhaa created history by becoming the youngest international master chess player. In 2017, he won the first grandmaster title at the World Junior Chess Championship. On 17 April 2018, he won the second grandmaster title at the Heraklion Fischer Memorial GM Norm tournament in Greece. Praggananandhaa earned the third grandmaster title on 23 June 2018 at the Gredine Open in Urtiji, Italy, at the age of 12 years, 10 months, and 13 days following which Praggananandhaa became the second-youngest person to win the grandmaster title at this age.

Youve made India proud!.In February 2022, in a conversation with a media house, his father stated that he did not want Praga to play chess initially. He further added that Praga was only three and a half years old when he started learning chess. His father said, Praga was only three-and-a-half years old when he began showing interest in the sport. His elder sister Vaishali was already being coached in the sport and is an International Master. Our financial situation was such that we could hardly manage to fund her classes and ferry her around. And when Praga took a keen interest in chess, my wife and I could not afford to let him pursue it. On 12 August 2018, she became the Woman Grandmaster (WGM) at the Riga Technical University Open chess tournament in Riga, Latvia after winning its final round. In 2021, she won the title of International Master (IM).
