Rajesh Vijay and The Band is a LIVE act based out of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. It is the brainchild of Rajesh Vijay. The band’s music is indefinable by words. Rajesh is a gifted playback singer who has given life to many songs in Malayalam like ‘karuppinazhak’ (Swpnakoode), Thoovella Thoovunnushassil (Sabhalam), Sooryane (Nammal), and Komalavalli (Immini Nalloral). ‘Paravai’ is a musical love story consisting of eleven songs by Rajesh which is going to be released soon. He won the Best Album Award at the Film Critics’ Awards in 2004 and 2005. He has performed stage shows in UK, US, Middle East and several Asian countries. Along with Rajesh Vijay, the team also includes Chandana Rajesh (Female Vocals), Sam Ji Babu (Bass), Joe Johnson (Keyboard), Varun Kumar (Saxophone and Flute), Subin Pappachan (Drums), and Rony George (Guitar). The band performs a different variety of genres through covers and original songs.
