Rajat Prasanna is a professional flute player based out of the capital city of India, New Delhi.  He was born to a family of traditional musicians of the Banaras gharana. He started learning music at the age of six, under the guidance of his grandfather, Pt Raghunath Prasanna, and father Shri Ravi Shankar Prasanna. Rajat has mastered the intricacies of music. The polished tonal grace, depth and rhythmic elegance, along with lucidity of expression are evident in his flute-playing. Times Music released a collection of ragas and dhuns in a cassette titled 'Dharohar-2' on flute, when Rajat was 14. After the release, he became one of the youngest flutists in Hindustani classical music. Rajat has regularly performed in All India Radio, Doordarshan and Akashwani. Mystica Music released his new album under the series 'Hidden Jems'. He has given several interviews on Sahara News, Subah Savere, Evening Live Show for Doordarshan, Ubharte Sitarey on DD Bharti, and Delhi AajTak.
