Biography

Raimund Imo is a professional DJ based out of the capital city of Goa, Panaji. Born and brought up in Mannheim, South Germany, his interest in music developed early on, and classical music played a major role in his life. This emerged into 90s' breakbeat culture, which heavily influenced Raimund’s future in electronic music. Between 1984 and 1996 Raimund, from 1984 to 1996, spent many nights at clubs and parties in Heidelberg, Mannheim, Berlin, London, and Frankfurt, listening to sounds from the forefront of the techno scene. Hence, his relationship with electronic music began. In 2000, Raimund arrived in Goa, India. Amidst the Goa-trance scene, he began playing alternative techno and tech-house music, and also arranged several private parties, which acted as an antidote for the trance culture. In a short time, he teamed up with two German DJs and founded a group titled 'Bass Bunny'. Bass Bunny heavily influenced the party scene of Goa as they also brought several of their international and famous DJ friends to play. The trio organized and perform gigs all over Goa, and also explored larger cities in India for gigs. Next, Raimund left Bass Bunny after a few years and gave birth to another act, titled 'Electric Zoo'. As its co-founder, Raimund enjoyed immense success and gained a solid following in India and Asia. Raimund has, till date, performed in Russia, Spain, Australia, Germany, UK, France, Indonesia, and India, and has also gained respect from many LIVE acts and DJs from Europe.
