Raeth is a LIVE band based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. Originally from Pakistan, the band was formed by four students — Wajhi Farooki (vocals), Mustafa Asad (bass), Sunny Ghansham (rhythm guitarist), and Hasan Farabi (lead guitar) in 2006. ‘Bhula Do’, their debut single, became the #1 on MTV Top Charts. Next in the list was Kailash Kher's song, ‘Saaiyan’. They were chosen to work on the music of the remake film, Zanjeer, starring Priyanka Chopra and Ram Charan, under the music direction of Chirantan Bhatt. After Zanjeer, Raeth was offered to compose music for a horror flick titled 3 AM, starring Rannvijay Singh and Anindita Nayyar. The movie was directed by Vishal Mahadkar, who previously directed Blood Money. Their two songs ‘Sab Bhula Ke’ and ‘Tera Shukriya’ was produced by Essel Visions and Zee Music. After 3 AM's success, the band was offered to work for the famous singer, Swati Sharma, of Banno Tera Swag fame from the film, Tanu Weds Manu Returns. They produced the song, Faasley, with her. Their latest project is from the movie, Direct Ishq- Tootey Taaro, featuring Swati Sharma as the music director, and is yet to be released.
