Kunwar Ratanjit Pratap Narain Singh is an Indian politician and agriculturist.His father, Kunwar Chandra Pratap Narayan Singh, was a Minister of State for Defence in the Indira Gandhi cabinet in 1980.Ratanjit Pratap Narain Singh began his career in politics in the 1990s.He won the UP Assembly elections three times, firstly in 1996, then in 2002, and for the third time in 2007. He was the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Uttar Pradesh from 1996 to 2009.Singh was appointed as the President of the Uttar Pradesh Youth Congress in 1997. He held the position till 1999.In 2003, he was elected as the Secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC).He was elected to the 15th Lok Sabha in 2009 from the Padrauna constituency as a candidate of the Congress party.
