Preeti Banerjee is a professional dancer based out of the IT capital of India, Bangalore. She was inducted into the classical art of Odissi dance from the very beginning under the able guidance of her teacher, Smt Arpita Venkatesh. Currently pursuing her dance lessons under the guidance of Guru Sharmila Mukherjee, Preeti’s first breakthrough milestone in her dancing career came in the form of second prize in All India Dance Drama and Music Festival (Cuttack Mahaotsav) organized by Utkala Yuva Sanskrutik Sangh, Cuttack Orissa, where she was also honored with the ‘Nritya Shree’. Her teacher continued to sculpt her into a fine dancer; later, she also took further training under the able guidance of Guru Aloka Kanungo. The next achievement was her performance at the Konark Dance Festival, Orissa. After this, there was no looking back for her as she won many prizes in number of prestigious competitions in and out of India.
