Pratyush Pushkar was born in Kolkata and was raised in Palasi, a small village in the Indo-Nepal border on the fringes of Bihar. Pratyush's life changed drastically when he moved to Delhi, to the luminous Jawaharlal Nehru University, from where he pursued higher studies in Foreign Language – Korean. Pratyush and camera have never been strangers. He always loved taking pictures and seeing things as they are, as they can be, or could have been. He learnt much about visuals on his own, through many amazing mistakes, miracles and moments of discoveries. Later, he was trained by some of Delhi's finest photographers who took him on as their assistant. He dreams of establishing India's largest photography academy, an institution devoted to the art and science of pictures where students will learn to see the world with their heart as much as their eyes, and dedicate themselves to capturing visuals that reveal the extraordinary pulse that throbs in every ordinary moment.
