Prateek's desire as a photographer is not to overestimate or underestimate the value of art to communicate the soul’s most inward anxieties and exhilaration. For him, the daily highs and lows of life are all part of a complex plan to reveal the illusion of self. The absurdity that exists between life and death is a never-ending mystery which has captured the imagination of many artists and philosophers. Prateek believes that the imagination must intersect through the mind and heart to cause agitation for making provocative art. He sometimes uses pop or contrasting titles as a parody to comment on his thirst for the spiritual as well as the superficial, and he is always in the pursuit of the sensational and the “new”. He embraces his heart and soul as his basis for understanding the complexity of the human condition, allowing him to accept the dichotomy between the physical and the spiritual reality.
