Prashant Kishor is an Indian politician, political strategist and tactician who is known for not accepting the offer made by the Indian National Congress party in 2022 to join as a leader of an Empowered Action Group 2024.Before he started working as a political strategist in Indian politics, he was a public health expert at United Nations in the United States for eight years.In 2011, he did his first campaign for Narendra Modi, who became the Chief Minister of Gujarat in the Gujarat Assembly Elections 2012. He made many social campaigns for BJP like Chai pe Charcha discussions, 3D rallies, Run for Unity, and Manthan. After the elections, Narendra Modi wanted to work with Prashant and even offered him a minister of state position in the PMO, but Prashant did not accept the offer. He parted ways with BJP because of his differences with Amit Shah.In 2015, he renamed his group Citizens for Accountable Governance (CAG) to the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC). The group did campaigning for Nitish Kumar of the JD(U) in the 2015 Bihar Legislative Assembly election, and he won the seat. Many news channels credited Prashant and his team for their win in the Punjab Assembly Elections. Many politicians said that Prashant chose the wrong party for campaigning because BJP had been in power for twenty-seven years in Uttar Pradesh in 2016.In 2017, he was appointed as a political advisor to the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections in 2019 in which the party won 151 seats out of 175 seats.In the 2020 Delhi Legislative Assembly election, Prashant was the election strategist for Aam Aadmi Party. The party bagged 62 out of 70 seats in the elections.
