A signing maestro, Prasanna is a trained classical musician who has redefined Carnatic music and made it popular. His ambidextrous way of playing classical music on the guitar has won him applause all over the world. He crafts a fine balance with creativity, innovation and authenticity.
Though IIT is his alma mater, Prasanna has engineered the Carnatic form of music and used his entrepreneur skills at promoting this particular genre. He founded India’s first professional International college for music, Swarnabhoomi Academy of music in Chennai. This academy is based on the traditional Indian Gurukul Mode which lays emphasis on having a spiritual connect with the teacher.
Prasanna has played at concerts with music legends from all over the world. These include A.R. Rahman, Jordan Rudess, Esperanza Spalding, Joe Lovano, Omar Hakim, Anthony Jackson and others. He has also composed music for international award winning documentaries and films - Smile Pinki and After the Garden Grows.
Prasanna’s work and talent is recognised all over the world. He has been invited for talks, conduct workshops, lectures at well known colleges from all over the world, including MIT Sloan School of Management, Harvard University and the infamous Berklee College of Music. He keeps touring the world and spreading the fragrance of Carnatic music.
