Pranetra is a fusion/indie/jazz/orchestra LIVE band based out of the capital city of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. The band was formed by a group of young and passionate budding musicians on 15 June 2012. The journey started by performing in small stages, wedding events and charity events, and the inflow of shows gradually increased. The growth of the band has been remarkable since the time of origin, and the first major opportunity earned by the band was to perform in Vijay TV for the show 'Idhayam Thotta Isaignani', a tribute show to Maestro Ilayaraja. This was a major stepping stone for the band to gain more popularity and the next bigger stage was that of the Museum Theatre, Egmore in Chennai, where the band performed for the charity event 'Hearts' organized by the Rotary Club of Chennai. The ultimate goal of the band is to exhibit the art form of music to its essence. The band has worked on music for short films where the songs are recorded in a LIVE setup. The individual musicians who are a part of the band are experienced in LIVE performances as well as studio sessions. The musicians and singers who are part of the band have both knowledge and experience to attain the above-mentioned goal of the band as a team. The band is currently working on in developing own compositions and the preparations for upcoming projects have shaped up convincingly well.
