Biography
Prajoth is a professional singer based out of Udipi, Karnataka. He is known for his unique, attractive and clear textured voice. His style of singing has earned him fans all around the world. Prajoth firmly believes that music is a universal language with no boundaries. He holds a degree in Software Engineering from Moodlakatte Institute of Technology, Kundapur and an MBA in Information Systems from Sikkim Manipal University. Currently, he is serving as a Senior Software Engineer in Bangalore. Prajoth has sung a series of cover songs, originals and reprises that gets regularly updated on his social media profiles. Some of his covers include Tu Jo Mila, Bol Do Na Zara, Mera Mann-Acapella, Main Dhoondne Ko, Samjhawa Ki, Baarish, Raabta, Be Intehaan, Ishq Wala Love-Acapella, Tum Hi Ho, Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si, Abhi Abhi, Mere Bina, Judai, and Tu Jaane Na Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin among others. He is the first artist from Karnataka to have recorded an Acapella. So far, he has produced five Acapella tracks, out of which, two are Konkani originals, and three are Hindi covers. He is known as the Sonu Nigam of Coastal Karnataka. He has written, composed and sang in a Bollywood film ‘Kuch Alag Sa’. He is well-versed in singing Bollywood, indie-pop, English, and Kannada. Some of the genres he can sing range from rock to ballads and disco to reggae. His original songs include 'Aa Paas Aa', 'Vaada Karo', and 'Rang Do.' Prajoth has been a part of the track ‘Desh Ko Hai Bharosa’, a World Cup anthem by Luminous in the association of Sachin Tendulkar. He was also a part of the track ‘Don’t Worry, Be Happy’ among many other artists as a member of the World Music Day, 2014. Prajoth released his debut album ‘Udi Udi’ and included 10 different genres of songs in it. He was chosen for the Global Konkani Music Awards in three categories. Prajoth was continuously nominated thrice in the Best Singer – Male category at the Global Konkani Music Awards, Mangalore since 2013. In April 2016, he won the Best Male Singer and Best Song awards for his song ‘Vaada Karo’ at the Artist Aloud Music Awards held in Mumbai. Prajoth has his home studio setup called ‘PAD Studios’ where he works on his private recordings and music production projects.
