Pooja Mazoomdar is a professional bassist based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. She is currently playing the bass for Leslie Lewis. Pooja is open to all sorts and styles of music! Some of her inspirations are Steve Harris (Iron Maiden), Marcus Miller, Billy Sheehan, and Flea (Red Hot chilli Peppers). She began training in Hindustani classical music and harmonium at the age of seven, and started learning the guitar in 2006. Pooja picked up the bass in 2009 and started learning the tricks and trades herself. She has worked on various TV shows like Big Boss Season 4, The Late Night Show (Colors), and School of Rox (upcoming show in Sony).She has also been featured in Bombay Times newspaper. Pooja has played for Bollywood shows with playback singers like Rajdeep Chatterjee, Pratap Dodla, Dilesh Doshi, Sumeet Raghavan, and Saaveri Verma.
