My Compelling Story

Pooja Giri is a professional singer based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. Her mesmerizing voice keeps the audience flattered. She has the unique talent of singing classical melodies with an effulgent style. Seeing her perform live is an experience altogether for she radiates an enthusiastic persona. Born in Uttar Pradesh, she completed her schooling from Silvassa. She started singing at the age of 12 and learnt the basics of Hindustani classical music from Dushyant Tripathi.  He encouraged her to participate in competitions during school days. Pooja participated in many competitions held at regional and national level and consequently received many awards. She was the runner up of a national level singing competition held at Colaba (Mumbai) in 2009. She continued her further classical training from her next guru, Aparna Apte Biwalkar. Pooja performed with her guru at a ghazal concert held at a stadium in Pune. At present, she is pursuing her classical training from Gautam Kale, disciple of Pt Jasraj. She can sing in Hindi, Gujarati and Marathi. She can catch multitudes of notes with a child like ease. Pooja’s in depth knowledge of classical music helps her to sing all the popular genres gracefully.
