Plague Throat is a progressive metal trio based out of the largest city of Assam, Guwahati. It was founded in the year 2006, and made their debut in August 2008. The band's song 'Present Chaos' has been featured in several compilation albums such as: Brutal Pokhara – Occult Science of Metal Putrid Ascendancy – Ascending True Indian Metal Metal Spree – New Year Killing Spree Brutal Pokhara – Build On Chaos Field Brutal Launch box – Life is sick and brutal An Exordium To Contagion – EP (Incanned Productions, 2013) The Pretentious and The Deceived – Metallers Mayhem 2 by Metalbase India The band won the Wacken Metal Battle India in the year 2014.
