Phaedra is a LIVE band based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. It is the brainchild of Janvi Anand. Janvi Anand is a Los Angeles-based Indian acoustic guitarist, singer, songwriter, composer, entrepreneur, and teacher. She has performed extensively as a solo artist in India and is fronting The Janvi Anand Trio as well. She is also continuously expanding her musical boundaries by participating in various other projects. A passion for music from a very young age led Janvi to explore various instruments. After experimenting with guitar, piano, and drums, she settled on the guitar as her principle instrument. Learning under musicians like Aditya Balani, Ritesh Khokhar, Tarun Balani, Derek Beckvold and Jamie Munn, her inclination towards contemporary music and an attempt to be a one-man band led her to attend Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, California in early 2015. The band is a trans-continental progressive metal project consisting of members across India and Netherlands. The group is currently working on its debut EP. Some of the band’s inspirations are Intervals, Volumes, TesseracT, Skyharbor, Periphery, Alter Bridge, Monuments, Tool, and Meshuggah.
