My Compelling Story
Payal’s Dance Academy celebrates life through the dance forms. This institute for dancers and choreographers is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. It has the only professional troupe called Isadora’s Muse. They specialize in belly dancing. The dance forms that are taught are Egyptian, Arabic, fusion, modern belly dance, kathak, jive, contemporary and Bollywood freestyle. Payal Gupta, the director, has earned a record in the Indian Book of Records for belly dancing. She was a guest performer at the 22nd Oriental Belly Dance Festival in Germany ( 2012 and 2013), winner at the 21st Oriental Belly Dance Festival, participant with co-star, Sihi-Kahi Chandru who is a regional film director, producer and actor in the reality dance series, Dancing Star, 2014. This talented dancer won the 23rd Oriental Belly Dance Festival.
