She is the cousin of Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan.According to her father, Pashmina Roshan wanted to become an actress since she was studying in the ninth standard. She used to participate as an artist in school plays. Later, she learned dancing from Saroj Khan. In a conversation with a media house, Rajesh Roshan said, It began around the time she was in 9th standard. She was doing a play in her school and she was supposed to come down the stage in a particular shot and intermingle with the crowd. I was artistically and emotionally floored.
