Parvathy Thiruvothu is an Indian actress known for her work in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam films. She is the co-founder of Women in Cinema Collective, an organization formed in May 2017 for the welfare of women workers in the Malayalam film industry.At a function held at St. Theresas College, Ernakulamshe in 2016, the actress revealed that she had been a victim of child abuse, eve-teasing, and stalking. In the Facebook post, she clarified that she never had a surname in any of her official documents except her birth certificate, which holds the name Parvathy Thiruvothu Kottuvatta (Thiruvothu Kottuvatta being the title of her maternal family house). She lost that surname due to some transfer certificate errors during her schooling. As a result of it, her 10th standard certificate, her driving license, her voter card, and her passport only holds the name Parvathy.
