Paromita Deb Areng is a photography artist specializing in weddings, portfolios, travel, and street photography. Through the viewfinder, Paromita sees a fascinated, ethereal world washed with a storm of colors, and myriad shapes and forms. She's a native of Meghalaya and has traveled and lived across India since a decade. Every click, since then, has been a step to self-realization. She calls herself a ‘Sunday Photographer’, and abrades the streets and by-lanes of her city (Mumbai), to capture its soul with the camera. She feels that her images exaggerate her state of mind and defines her moods. She loves working with bold colors, grains and textures, reflections, and shadows. Some of her images have been featured in Better Photography issues (photographers' monthly magazine), and she has also been a finalist in the ‘Lost Flamingoes of Bombay’ photo contest, hosted by Penguin India. In another form of her persona, Paromita is an IIM Alumnus and an HR Business Partner with a pharmaceutical multinational, based out of Mumbai.
