Paratra is a rock and electronic band, formed early 2012 and based in Mumbai, India.  The band released its debut album, Genesis on January 1, 2017, a double-disc one consisting of rock and electronic music.  The word Paratra is a Sanskrit word for transcendental or spiritual journey to the next world. This is ever present in the band's musical compositions. The heavy riffs of the guitar blends with the soothing raags of the sitar, culminating into a spellbinding, harmonious experience.
