P Praveen Kumar is a professional bharatnatyam dancer based out of the IT capital of India, Bangalore. Dance runs in Praveen’s artistic family and he was trained under Guru Smt. Narmada. Currently, he is under the tutelage of Prof. CV Chandrashekar. In honor of his talent, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) has enlisted Praveen in the list of classical dancers for Indian cultural festivals abroad. He is also an ‘A’ graded artist by various media outlets. Praveen is an accomplished choreographer and nattuvanar as well. His choreography has been featured in numerous dance festivals and has been well received by rasikas and art critics. He strictly adheres to the traditional classical style of Bharatnatyam and has enthralled his audiences for more than a decade. Achievements: Recipient of Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Purskar 2010, Central Sangeet Natak Academy, New Delhi Honored with the Mohan Khokar Award 2010; he is the first recipient of this award
