Nupur Shikhare is an Indian celebrity fitness trainer and consultant who specialises in Calisthenics and Movements. He has been training former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen since 2008. He came into the spotlight in 2020 when he started dating Aamir Khan‘s daughter, Ira Khan.Since childhood, Nupur was a keen sports player and grew up playing tennis. Nupur Shikhare’s childhood picture.Although he was a national-level tennis player and wanted to pursue a career in it, he inclined towards filmmaking when he moved from Pune to Mumbai in 2004.Thereafter, he made a couple of short films and videos which caught the attention of a Marathi film director who offered the job position of assistant director to Nurpur.Following his brief stint as an assistant director, he secured the job as a fitness trainer in the gym where he used to workout.In an interview, Nupur recalled that at the beginning of his career he used to roam around in Bandra handing over his business cards and looking for vacancies in the upscale gyms of the area.His life’s turning point came when he got hired by Sushmita Sen as a personal trainer on 28 March 2008. Ever since then, he has participated in various endurance multisport races like Ironman Copenhagen 2017 and Canthon – Cancer Awareness Run (2019); he finished in second position in Canthon (2019).
