Nitish Bharti is a world-renowned Indian sand animation artist and storyteller who uses only his fingers to create brilliant stories out of simple sand grains. His incredible videos have been watched and loved by millions of people globally. Ever since Nitish was a child, he knew his fate was tied to the art world, and he experimented with painting, canvassing and drawing. He believes that the universe is made up of small particles like sand, and hence, what can be better than a natural medium than sand, to create anything creative and wonderful. He says that as a child, he was mesmerized by sand and used to draw pictures on the sand; and one day during the high tide, a wave lashed and wiped everything. This fascinated him and gradually, he started drawing quickly before the wave could come and wipe off everything. He used to stand and watch until his drawing completely disappeared, realizing that everything is temporary and provisional. Finally, the day came when he agreed to listen to his heart and took up sand art as his full-time profession. Nitish says, "At its core, art is all about communicating something in compelling and innovative ways. The artist uses his unique medium and artistic vision to convey his message to his audience." Nitish uses three media to showcase his stories – sand, light, and music. His remarkable talent has made him perform all over India and abroad, and win hearts of his fans. He was amongst the top three finalists of the reality show competition India's Got Talent 2012.
