Nitika Kaul is a Lieutenant in the Indian Army. She is the widow of Major Vibhuti Shankar Dhoundiyal who martyred in the Pulwama attack in 2019.She belongs to a Kashmiri Pandit family who migrated from Kashmir to Delhi.After completing her MBA in May 2016, she joined The Ideaz Factory as a marketing communications intern in Chandigarh.She then joined Tata Consultancy Services as IT Pre Sales Representative in October 2017. She cleared Short Service Commission (SSC) exam and the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview and was commissioned at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai for her training.
