Nindy Kaur is a professional singer based out of the capital city of India, New Delhi. She came to fame even before the release of her debut album, Nindypendent, which includes international hits like Akhian, 2 Seater, Deewani, with the music videos totalling more than 300,000 views on YouTube. Her entrance into the music industry has earned her covers on some of the biggest print magazines like Kismet Bridal, Asian Woman, and Bollywood Masti. She has graced some of the greatest platforms such as The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and India International Film Association (IIFA) alongside celebrities such as Akshay Kumar, Shahrukh Khan, and Anushka Sharma to name a few. Nindy is the first urban Punjabi singer to make an impact in Bollywood. Her Bollywood debut was the film, Aloo Chaat (2009), in which she was featured on the songs – Aloo Chaat and Boliyaan. After that, her vocals were featured on the track, Om Mangalam, from Kambaqth Ishq (2009) and the music video, which also featured the stars, Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor. Soon after, she was featured on Yamla Pagala Deewana, which also featured internationally acclaimed playback singer, Sonu Niigam. Nindy is also a fashion symbol with her impeccable taste in ‘setting her own trends.’ Her passion for fashion has led her to collaborate with DesiWear to create her own clothing line called Kaur is Queen, which will be publically available soon. Nindy began singing at the age of 10. Raised in the UK and surrounded by the rhythms and beats of Birmingham’s Bhangra bands, she grew up as a child who would save her lunch money to buy every single Bhangra album upon release. It was a given obvious that Bhangra music would soon become the prime influence in shaping her destiny as a singer. Though Bhangra has always been a large influence in her musical style, she seeks to accept and shape her music from a bit of pop and rock to even hip-hop and Bollywood. Nindy has taught herself the art of singing and has spent years developing her vocal skills in both Punjabi and Hindi. Her primary goal as an artist is to be true to her art and display that in her vocals. She has never once forgotten where she’s come from and has kept true to her culture both vocally and personally. Nindy’s voice is like a breath of fresh air and has already created an extraordinary resume, making her name synonymous to that of her singing talents. She is determined to take this industry by storm and won’t cease until she’s succeeded.
