My Compelling Story
Nikhil Chinapa is a professional DJ based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. He has donned many avatars during his illustrious career. From a DJ, MC, and music promoter to a festival director, he has carried these avatars with incredible fluidity. Nikhil studied architecture and graduated with a thesis in hospital design. After a year, he joined MTV. Here, he hosted almost all shows on the channel. From MTV Select, being the host of Splitsvilla, and a judge on Roadies and Rock on, he now hosts MTV Mashups. As a VJ, Nikhil spent a lot of time around music. With his friend, Nikhil launched Submerge, India’s first and largest EDM company. Nikhil is a very versatile DJ, and his sets are very moody, varying from erratic to fun. Most of his sets feature foot-tapping music. Currently, he is a festival curator and partner of Goa’s new beach music festival, VH1 Supersonic.
