My Compelling Story

Neeraj Kumar is a singer, composer and lyricist based out of the capital city of India, New Delhi. He has completed his school studies from Kendriya Vidyalaya, and did post graduation in Indian Classical Vocal Music from Mangalayatan University, Aligarh (UP). He is passionate about singing and drumming. At the age of 14, he composed and wrote his first song which earned great popularity among his classmates. He is awarded as the 'best drummer' at national level by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Lucknow along with the 'best folk singer' at national level by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Armapur, Kanpur. He has given an award-winning performance in front of the Missile Man of India, Late APJ Abdul Kalam, and the living legend sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan. Neeraj has learned classical music under the guidance of the living legend of Dhurpad Ustad Faiyaz Wasifuddin Dagar and performed a lot of stage shows all over India. His band 'The Riyaaz' was ranked number 1 in the whole of UP in band competitions organized by Amar Ujala and Hero MotoCorp in 2012. Music for him is a way to express his cultures, traditions, conventions and poetic 'kalaams' to common people. A blend of creativity, improvisations, musicality, and technology, he possesses the potential to seize audience's attention. Focusing on the genres of music they perform, including indie-pop, Bolly-rock, Sufi-rock and indie fusion, Neeraj sets the stage on fire with his captivating on-stage performances. Since his inception, singer Neeraj followed the route of hard work and has always believed in achieving success and dedicated to the pursuit of creating the perfect entertainment for mankind.
