My Compelling Story

Namit & Anurag is a LIVE duo that has its Indian roots intact, yet looks out for modern, contemporary vision. Listen to their first recordings on the debut EP – Din Gaye. Namit Das is famous for his acting skills, and is a known personality in the Indian cinema and theatre, but his final call as a professional is singing and composing music. Coming from a music background, Namit composes and performs raw songs in light-classical, which are simple yet emotionally moving. Anurag Shanker is a producer and a guitar player, who has worked on a lot of projects such as blues, funk, LIVE electronica, Indian folk, etc. He met Namit Das over his compositions, and decided to work on them by adding jazz and blues. They also brought-in a stellar band to perform on the debut EP. Results can be heard on an exceptional release that has been getting some overwhelming reviews from fans and press alike. In addition, they performed their debut gig at NH7, Pune to an audience of 2000 and a superb response!
