Naila Grewal is an Indian actress and dancer. She has been part of many popular films like Tamasha (2015), Bhangra Paa Le(2020), and Thappad (2020).Naila made her acting debut in 2015 with Imtiaz Alis Indian romantic comedy-drama film Tamasha. She was featured opposite Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Piyush Mishra, Javed Sheikh, and Tiger Shroff. Being launched under a renowned banner, Naila received huge recognition with her first project. Her acting skills were highly praised by the critics. During the film promotions, when she was asked about her inspiration behind becoming an actress, she narrated,My earliest memory is of being completely enchanted by the moving display of a television screen, the sound of music, and being transported by stories. I really believe that it is in these earliest experiences that we catch a glimpse into our future. As I negotiated my future, it is on stage that I found myself flourish  whether it be through dance or theatre. It has always been my natural habitat, a feeling akin to returning home. I was extremely lucky to have the privilege to study theatre at school. This was my first experience with all things acting and performance. The Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari directed romantic comedy film was based on the The Ingredients of Love by Nicolas Barreau. Naila got to share the screen with Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, and Seema Pahwa. Critics praised Bareilly Ki Barfi for its pleasant and uncomplicated plot, music, and cast performances.Next in 2020, she featured in the Sneha Taurani directed Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film Bhangra Paa Le where in she played the character named Heer opposite Sunny Kaushal and Rukshar Dhillon. The film was theatrically released on 3 January 2020. The films plot centers around Jaggi, a Punjabi who wishes to showcase Bhangra on a large scale since he is passionate about the dance genre. The film depicts a college rivalry in which two teams compete to win an international dance competition. Following this, she became part of Taapsee Pannu starrer drama film Thappad..In addition to acting in films, the actress has appeared in a number of commercials for companies such as Lakme, Phillips, Platinum, and Hyundai, to mention a few. Talking about her acting journey so far, she explained, Acting and being immersed in the craft is my greatest joy.
