Nafisa Kamal is a young Bangladeshi Businesswoman and an entrepreneur. She is counted as the first and the only woman chairman of the Bangladesh Premier Leagues (BPLs) franchise team Comilla Victorians that is considered one of the best cricket teams in Bangladesh.Nafisa is the younger daughter of Mustafa Kamal, who is also an Entrepreneur, politician and the former President of ICC. She idolises her father, and just like him, even Nafisa has been a sports enthusiast since she was a child. During her childhood, she accompanied her father to watch tournaments all around the world, and she enjoyed that a lot. In an interview, she said, It was my natural choice to get into cricket as my father is my biggest inspiration. I have grown up watching cricket. I even missed classes and exams to watch tournaments. My father used to take me all over the world to watch cricket. I do not think I have missed any major series growing up. I have visited all the stadiums in the world. After completing her studies from (MIT), United States, she returned to Bangladesh and joined her family business organisation in the country.

After completing her studies from (MIT), United States, she returned to Bangladesh and joined her family business organisation in the country.In 2012, she began her career by owning the team Sylhet Royals for two seasons of the BPL, and then, she became the managing director of the Comilla Victorians from its third season. Her team won their second-time champions title in the BPL 2019. Nafisa celebrating the win with her team.In 2017, during an interview, Nafisa proposed to build a cricket stadium in Comilla and also demanded home rights and said, I will make a suggestion to the board. Because we dont have a stadium in Comilla yet, we have it in the pipeline, the plan has been passed and it will come in a few years. And since we dont have it yet, and there are just two-three stadiums used in BPL in two-three different cities, we should just designate those for each match. We should be given home rights. On certain matches, my (Comilla) fans stood outside with tickets as they were not allowed to enter the stadium. Where some others had free entry without tickets. These issues really need to be taken care of. The Comilla Victorian Team.Her aim is to reach the highest level of cricket like her father. She further wishes to associate with BCB and then route to ICC in the coming future. According to Nafisa, she wants to become the first woman president of the BCB and ICC. Moreover, she believes to achieve her goal with her hard work and strong determination.She further plans to work with the Bangladesh womens cricket team in the future and wants to go a long way with the team. She also believes that the Bangladesh women cricket team will win the World Cup soon.She is also on the board of directors of Asia Pacific General Insurance and The Farmers Bank Limited. In addition, she is the director of the LK group. She is also known to be the advocate of gender equality. She also does a lot of charity work.The Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal is also said to transfer his entire holding of shares in Asia Pacific General Insurance Company (APGIC) to his daughter Nafisa Kamal. He intends to transfer 4,56,800 shares to his daughter. [3]The Financial Express He will transfer the shares by way of gift outside the exchanges trading system within 30 working days from the date of issuance of approval letter by the DSE.
